Websites for builders · Business-in-a-Box

Websites for builders that show finished projects, explain how you work and bring in better-briefed enquiries.

We build and manage websites for builders and construction companies around the projects you want: extensions, loft and garage conversions, renovations, structural work, new builds or subcontract packages. Homeowners can see real projects stage by stage, understand how a quote and site visit work and send you the details you need before you drive out. The site connects to the enquiry, follow-up, pipeline and invoicing tools in the £197/month Business-in-a-Box.

£197/month for the complete package. No setup fee. No website fee. No contracts.

BEFORE THEY GET IN TOUCH

What a customer checks before contacting a builder.

Building work is a large, slow decision. People often look at a builder's website several times over weeks, and share it with a partner, an architect or a neighbour, before they get in touch. The site has to answer the questions that come up in those conversations.

Have you built something like mine?

A homeowner planning a single-storey rear extension wants to see one you finished, ideally with photos from groundworks to handover. Project pages with a short description of the brief, the stages and the area are far more useful than a grid of unlabelled photos.

How does the process work?

Customers want to know what happens between first call and handover: the site visit, the quote, drawings and approvals, start date, stages and snagging. A plain process page reduces nervous calls and helps people decide whether they are ready to talk.

Will I get a proper quote and contract?

Consumer advice tells homeowners to ask for a detailed written quote, a written contract and a staged payment schedule tied to work completed. If you work that way, say so, and explain what your quote includes and excludes.

Are you insured, and who handles approvals?

People want to know you carry public liability insurance, whether you deal with building control and who looks after drawings, structural calculations and party wall notices. Being clear about what you handle, and what you leave to their architect or surveyor, avoids surprises.

A PAGE PLAN BUILT AROUND YOUR WORK

The pages a builder's website usually needs.

Your project types and how you like to work decide the page plan. This is a typical starting point for a domestic building firm. We drop what you do not offer and add what you do, such as kitchens, roofing or groundworks.

  1. 01

    Extensions

Single-storey, double-storey, side return and wraparound extensions, what you handle from foundations to finish and when planning permission or building regulations approval is usually involved.

  2. 02

    Loft conversions

Dormer, hip-to-gable, mansard and roof light conversions, typical stages, staircase and fire safety considerations, and who produces the drawings.

  3. 03

    Renovations and refurbishments

Whole-house renovations, internal reconfigurations, kitchens and bathrooms as part of larger jobs, and whether the family can stay in the property while you work.

  4. 04

    Structural work

Knock-throughs, steel beams, underpinning and chimney breast removal, and how you work with structural engineers and building control on each one.

  5. 05

    Garage conversions

Turning a garage into a room, what usually needs approval, and how you deal with floors, insulation, windows and the old door opening.

  6. 06

    New builds and commercial work

Self-build support, small developments, commercial fit-outs or subcontract packages for main contractors, with the accreditations they ask for.

  7. 07

    Project gallery

Real projects shown in stages, from strip-out or groundworks to the finished room, with a short note on the brief and the area. Built from photos you are happy to publish.

  8. 08

    How we work

Your process from first call to handover: site visit, quote, contract, payment stages, start date, weekly updates, snagging and sign-off.

  9. 09

    Areas you cover

One coverage page listing the towns and districts you take projects in, with any minimum job size or distance limits.

A 20–30 page website, not a one-page template.Built around your services, real work and coverage, then connected to your enquiry tools.

  • Public liability and employer's liability insurance, and the level of cover

  • Use of a written contract, such as an FMB or JCT contract, and a staged payment schedule
  • Company registration, VAT registration and how long you have been trading
  • Your Google Business Profile reviews, linked rather than copied

FROM VISIT TO ENQUIRY

Quote form questions that help a builder decide what to do next.

Enough detail to decide whether a site visit makes sense, without asking for a full specification on a phone screen.

How our quote forms work
  • What is the project? (extension, loft conversion, renovation, structural work, garage conversion, new build, commercial, other)
  • Do they have drawings, planning permission or building regulations approval yet?
  • Rough budget range, if they are happy to share one
  • When would they like work to start?
  • Postcode of the property
  • Photos of the area, or drawings if they have them
  • Best phone number and a good time for a site visit

STRAIGHT ANSWER ON PRICE

What a builder website costs with UK Trade Leads.

See everything in the £197/month package

A building website is included in the £197/month Business-in-a-Box (usually £297). There is no setup fee and no separate website fee. You keep the website, there is no contract, and you can cancel anytime. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies.

The monthly price also covers the tools builders often juggle separately: a business phone number with missed-call text-back, a shared inbox, a CRM with a project pipeline from enquiry to site visit to quote, follow-up messages and invoicing, review requests and Google Business Profile setup. If you only want a website and already have the rest working, our guide to website costs for trades sets out the other routes honestly.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Questions builders ask us.

Anything specific to your business? Bring it to the call and we’ll work through it.

Book a quick call
I do not have good project photos. Can I still have a builder website?

Yes. We start with whatever you have, even phone photos from site, and make sure each project is labelled with what was done and roughly where. As you finish new projects, you send us photos at each stage and we add them. Stage photos are often more convincing than a single polished finished shot.

Can the website cut down time spent on quotes that go nowhere?

It can help. A process page, a clear note on the projects and areas you take on and a quote form that asks about drawings, approvals, timing and budget mean you have more to go on before deciding whether a site visit is worth it. It will not filter out every unsuitable enquiry.

Can the site show both domestic and commercial or subcontract work?

Yes. Homeowners and main contractors look for different things, so we usually give commercial or subcontract work its own section with your accreditations, trades, team capacity and a separate enquiry route, while the domestic pages focus on projects and process.

Should I publish prices for extensions and lofts?

That is your call. Some builders show typical price ranges with a clear note on what changes them, which helps people judge whether to get in touch. Others prefer to explain how quotes are worked out and leave figures to the site visit. We write whichever you choose accurately.

Is it worth having separate pages for each town I build in?

Only where you have something real to show. A page about a town that features finished projects there can be useful. Dozens of pages that only change the place name are seen by Google as thin, so we usually build one coverage page and link it from your project and service pages.

Will you write the content, or do I need to?

We draft it from a short call and the information you send, including how you quote, your process and the projects you want to feature. You check everything before it goes live, because details such as insurance, memberships, contracts and payment stages must be accurate for your business.

Can you get my building firm ranking first on Google?

No one can promise rankings. What we can do is give Google and customers clear pages for each type of project, real project galleries, an accurate Google Business Profile and a steady way to collect genuine reviews. Where you appear depends on your area, competition and reviews, and building it up takes time.
